This Rolex Datejust is judged original and period-correct in its main configuration. The leather strap is aftermarket.

30m water-resistance test passed.

[Collector’s Notes]
Ref.1601 is the classic fluted-bezel version; Ref.1600 used a smooth bezel, while Ref.1603 used an engine-turned bezel.
Interestingly, although the dial is marked “T SWISS T,” neither the dial nor the hands use luminous material.
Similar no-lume Rolex watches are known from markets such as Japan, where radioactive luminous materials were subject to stricter regulations at the time.

It appears original. No clear signs of redial or repainting.

They appear original, with no clear signs of replacement or relume.

[Case, crown and back of the case] : Good
The case appears unpolished and shows age-related wear. Crown screw-in is very good (approx. 1.7 turns). Serial engraving is clear.
