The watch is judged to be original and period-correct in its main configuration. The case, caseback, dial, movement, hands, crown, and fine-fluted yellow-gold bezel appear consistent with this early production period.

[My impression]
This is the kind of early Datejust that feels noticeably different from later examples. The fine-fluted bezel and butterfly rotor are beautiful period details, and the components show pleasing consistency for the era.

It appears to remain original, with no clear signs of redial, repainting, or relume. Light age-related spotting is visible.

[Hands] : Good
They show age and wear, with no clear signs of replacement or relume.

[Crystal] : Good
Plexiglass.

[Case, crown and back of the case] : Good
The case shows age-related scratches and wear. Crown screw-in is good (approx. 1.0 turn to unlock). The serial engraving is clear.

[Band] : New
New aftermarket leather strap, not made by Rolex. Fits wrists up to approx. 18.5 cm.

[Action] : Very Good
Hand-winding, time-setting, automatic winding, and date change around midnight work properly.
